Denver Area Nets
« on: April 29, 2007, 01:13:14 PM »
Hi,

Since 1998, Boulder Colorado  Stake hams in the North Denver area have operated the "Louisville, Colorado Hams Net" every Sunday evening at 9:00 p.m. Mountain time  on 147.495 MHz simplex.  Hams, new and old, are welcome to check-in.  The purpose of the net is to provide net operations practice,  keep us thinking about preparedness and help keep everyone's batteries charged.

For the past two years, "The Louisville Hams Net" has also been available most weeks on Echolink, using a simplex repeater located in Thornton, Colorado.  Join us through the "LDSHAMS" Echolink conference (node 17388) or the "KCOPCA-R" Echolink repeater (node 4222).  We try to keep the things  simple and fun.  The net begins with a roll-call, but after the roll opportunities are provided for new check-ins.

Whether by simplex or Echolink, we hope to hear you on the air.  By the way the Echolink "LDSHAMS" Echolink conference node is provided by Jay W7KBH in Las Vegas and is available 24/7.  If you would like to link your own LDS net to the "LDSHAMS" conference, we invite you to schedule it by writing to Jay at LDSHAMS@cox.net

73,

Mike - And ALL in the Colorado Net groups -
I have just resurrected the *WW-MARA* Echolink Conf.  - (Node 173882) - 24/7 so you can all use that as well as *LDSHAMS* - for Nets or EM traffic or just QSO's - Enjoy - JAY - W7KBH

Cool thanks Jay. I am new to this HAM thing. I have only had my license a couple months now and just recently installed some echolink software. Can you please help me make sure I understand how to use this right. With an echolink conference node is it used simple to allow a group of HAMS (0-100 in the case of this node) to QSO on that node using echolink? Just want to make sure I use it correctly.
