Im in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  Was a Ham before I was baptized.  Been licensed for abt 10 yrs.  Recently upgraded to General.

Search and rescue radio, dual band, works cross band to work satellites with 19 inch whip.  Tough plastic case, great battery life.  Commonly used by LDS in Southern California and Arizona.  Radio can be cloned from computer or another like radio.  Many other features applicable for scouting.
