Yahoo Groups Mailing List created

I have had a second person (at least, there may be more...) recommend that we have an LDS Hams mail list.
In response, I have created a new group at Yahoo.

Here are the details:

Group name:	ldshams
Group home page:	http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ldshams
Group email:	ldshams@yahoogroups.com

I have had a couple of occasions this year to send announcements to the members of LDSHams.com and have on both occasions received a few messages from people who claim they don't know how I got their email address and to take them off my list...    The odd part is I wouldn't have their email if they, themselves, hadn't signed up on the website (http://www.ldshams.com).

Going forward, I will not be sending further announcements from the LDSHams website, I will instead make announcements via the ldshams mail list above. If you are interested in email based discussion with other like minded individuals, please join the mail list, and don't forget the forums are still out here.

I had a rocky couple of days after announcing this. A few people have commented that the links in the email were broken.

When I posted the original message, I used the BB tags to create a table, but when the forum software converted the table formatting to text it merged the lines of text together. grr... Shoot!!!

I also noticed that I don't have an easy shortcut to the Yahoo! Group for LDSHams. So I added a button at the top of this website that says Y! Group.

I hope things are getting more useful for everyone!
