To: N7YLA - Both LDSHAMS & WW-MARA are both up and running - We had Nevada Power put in new digital meters (Not my idea) - and it whacked LDSMAMS - which had been running for almost a year 320+ days straight w/o a hitch.  BTW - CQICC is also mine - It is up - but I cant access it - Im checking into

The LDSHAMS Echolink node appears to be offline.  When will it be back online?

MARA in the Denver area.

So what has happened to MARA?
http://www.mara.net/groups.htm

I see active site in the east south and west but nothing in the Denver area.  Has this group replaced MARA?  IF you are LDS in the rockies is MARA dead and this the only alternative?  Just some questions from a new guy.

Looking at the main page of their web site.
http://mara.net/

It states that MARA use to be associated with the church but is now an association of members and other like minded people.   When did this change and Why?
Is there an official membership in MARA?  If so what benefits do they offer?
How does this group differ from that one?

Looks like ERRS replaced MARA:

The ERRS, on the other hand, is an official arm of the Church Welfare services of wards, stakes, regions, welfare services areas, and Church headquarters, all functioning under Priesthood direction.

I can't find anything about ERRS on lds.org or via google for that matter (the onlt site that shows up is the MARA-MW site) Does anyone know anything about ERRS?  Did it replace MARA?  Does anyone on here hold a calling from your ward or Stake dealing with ERRS or ham radio?
