Emergency Communications Presentation
« on: March 18, 2009, 06:26:02 PM »
Preface:
Ok, don't laugh at it, and don't criticize me for any inaccuracies... I had to throw it together in a week!

So here's the scoop. We have monthly emergency preparedness topics scheduled and the RS has a class scheduled once a month on a Tuesday evening. This month was Emergency Communications and I had hoped that the Ward would have an EmComm Specialist called so I could pass the buck.  ;D

That didn't happen , :-\, so as the Ward Preparedness Specialist and the Stake EmComm Specialist, I figured I needed to step up and do something for the class. The turnout wasn't as good as we were hoping, but those who came enjoyed it. (I think...)

I converted the presentation to web format and it's up on this site. Feel free to check it out. Ultimately I would like to refine this to be a better presentation, so if you want to provide feedback, I would welcome it!

The presentation is at:

Thanks!
Rob

Nice presentation Rob.  Should have made a few folks sit up and pay attention.

Nice website here by the way.  You've done a good job.

Rob,

I thought it was a nice presentation. No need to be embarrassed, your disclaimer notwithstanding!

I'm the acting ERC specialist for my ward. Emcomm is something that doesn't seem to have occurred to our Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. Not being as computer savvy as I would like, I have to ask: is there a way that I could download this for use in my ward/stake?

Rob,

Thanks for the link. I'll use it to do some educating about emcomm in my ward.
